Bangalore Airport to Mysore Satellite Bus Stand

I am reaching Bangalore via Mumbai by air. I plan to head to Coorg and stay there in Club Mahindra. Reservations are already done.

Now I have few questions and would appreciate if someone can help.

As i researched this forum, I found one can book tickets for bus from ksrtc site from Bangalore to Mercara ( Madikeri )

KSRTC site shows Mysore Satellite Road is boarding point for buses.

1) How far is this Mysore Satellite Road bus stand from Airport ?
2) Should I take meru from airport to this place or can take other means of transport like bus?
3) How much time will it take to reach this place from airport ?

What time are you reaching Bangalore? Mysore Satellite Road is near Kengeri and is around 5-7 kms away from Majestic. I am not aware of any direct Volvo buses from BIAL to the KSRTC depot. Most often, you might have to change at Majestic if you chose the Volvo bus.

Meru is a better option. It should take you approximately an hour in the early morning and maybe 90 minutes or more later in the day.

i am reaching early 8am at bangalore airport. As per ksrtc site, i can't find any buses running from majestic bus stand to mercara. Does that mean - i will need to head to Satellite Road bus station only?

The earliest Airavat service I see is @ 10.00 AM from Mysore Satellite Road. It looks like you have to head to Satellite Road bus station only.

Answers to your questions:
1. BIAL to Mysore Road Satellite bus stand is like 35kms.
2. You have BIAL shuttle services by BMTC - volvo service which is punctual and the best. In addition, you also have normal bus as well. If you are just 1 person/2 people, I would suggest you take the bus. Route BIAS-10 goes to the mysore road bus station. BIAS-11 goes almost close (Mysore road junction/Deepanjalinagar -about 500 mts away from the mercara bus station - you need to get down n walk over).
3. It can easily take 1.5 hours to reach that bus stand at 9am / peak traffic hour.

I am going to Mysore and have 2 large suitcase, carry on luggage and a back pack. Do the new buses to Mysore have luggage space! Please let me know.

Take the KSRTC Volvo buses to Mysore they have huge luggage space. They may change a very nominal fee for extra luggage.

Trust you had a pleasnat stay at CM, Coorg.

I have also booked CM, Coorg in October and starting point is Mumbai. I am also planning to go Bengaluru by air and then proceed to Coorg by bus. Therefore, it would be very helpful if you can share your experience. I would also request other members to advise on the following:

a) How far is Shanthinagar BMTC BS from Bengaluru airport. As per KSRTC website, there is a bus for MadikERI AT 10.31 am.
b) How I can reach to CM, Coorg from Madikeri bus station.

a. You have direct Volvo Airport bus service from Bangalore Airport to Shantinagar bus stand. It would take 1.30 Hrs .

Service is called Vayu Vajra. There is a bus terminal in the airport when you come out.

b. Club Mahindra has pick up service, you need to inform them.

Please note, traffic is unpredictable in Bangalore, so allocate about 40 minutes as buffer time.

I plan to park my bike at the mysore satellite bus stand and head to Mysore for 2 days.Does any one know if there is a long term parking available at this stand
