Advice on Mysore-Coorg trip

Hi All,

I'm planning to visit mysore-coorg from Kolkata in first week of october. Will monsoon play spoilsport at that time? Pls suggest on my itinerary.

03 rd Oct - reaching Bangalore on morning. Full day site seeing.
OverNite Blore.
04th Oct - leaving for Madikeri by bus. ON Madikeri.Site seeing.
05th Oct - site seeing around madikeri. ON Madikeri.
06th OCt - a day trek around Madikeri. ON Madikeri.
07th Oct - leaving for Nagerhole. On Nagerhole.
08th Oct - half day safari. ON mysore.
09th Oct - full day siteseeing.ON mysore.
10th Oct - off to Blore.off to Kol by nite train.


Folks, pls suggest details of how to see coorg effectively. Is there any day trek? We dont need much luxuries , safety .all of us are 23-24 yr old.

And Regarding "Trekking Part",

1) You could trek out in "Brahmagiri Mountain Ranges" -- From "Iruppu Falls - South Coorg , Karnataka" end --Need to get forest dept permission and a Guide will accompany you--- This My Office Colleagues did 3 months back and they really enjoyed this trip -- If you are interested in this trek, I can collect and post all the information which might help you in deciding .. And "Brahmagiri Mountain ranges" is a beauty and another way of approaching this is from "Thirunelli Temple" - Wayanad Kerala end and it's almost like Iruppu falls & Thirunelli temple are just opposite and this mountain in between !!

2) You could trek out in "Polibetta" - Please do a search with this name in Google .

From Your Planning I understand that you mush have already read enough about Coorg etc, Its a Good Enough Plan.

You might also want to Book Bus early (Visit www.ksrtc.in book Aravath (Volvo) or Rajahamsa Buss or Hire a CAB), Also I would recommend that You get a HomeStay in Med.
