Acco at Dandeli
Has anyone been to dandeli and not stayed in those expensive resorts. I have done a google, and have come across soem guest house near the bus stand that is ok. however, the site/ google is silent on the ability of this/ these hotels/lodges to organise a jeep safari/ trek into the forest.
JLR does that, but then its 1900 bucks a person to stay inside etc. Worst case scenario, will ask JLR how much wud they charge just for the safari (though their website doenst mention that)... I dont wanna book JLR (or the other expensive resorts) and my travel plans are not firmed up yet- i mite go there, or I mite not... dates are flexible too... Cheers Ajay

In Kali River Lodge the price includes the meals and the "safari", doesn't include the Kali river rafting. You can contact them:
http://www.junglelodges.com Is a bit expensive but is probably the only way. Stayed there two or three years ago in November/December and was great. Jorge |

Hi I stayed in the very hotel you speak of, opposite the bus stand, comfortable and clean and a bargain at 240 rupees a night!! I organised my rafting on the Kali river and jungle trip from the hotel without any hitches!!

As I remember the jungle trip was 300 per head and the rafting 1000. The rafting was brilliant, not too "advenurous" more of a float through the Jungle, I've never seen so many Hornbills!!
