1 month accom in mysore

can anyone recommend (and give contacts) for a place to stay in mysore for 1 month. Would prefer somewhere where i can cook for myself and a place that is private and quietish...I need to stay around Gokulam 3rd Stage area....thanks

Hmmm, ashtanga student? I just got back in May. You'll LOVE IT.

In any event, you can get a place really easily once you arrive. You can stay at www.aliaom.com for a night or two while you look around (although I stayed there for a month!). See Shiva (everyone knows him) for apartment rentals. Or you can contact Ganesh who is AMAZING and will help you with everything. He can also arrange for you to be picked up from Bangalore airport if needed... here's his email: ganeshmysore at gmail dot com.
He also runs a cafe with amazing food. You'll know all of this within 10 minutes of being there... Its that kind of place.
