| Wonderful world of H2O Mumbai | | Next day, we called hired a cool cab and went to Chowpatti beach. There is a private beach/water sport fascility called H20.
Clean private beach with some fascilities, kids played in the sand, we all played with the ball and we went in water. Also took their boat ride (Rs85/person). They havee other water sports too! Had a nice chill out 3 hours. Saw the sunsetting!
The fact I like about H20 is the beach is cleaner, life jackets are provided free, they have whistle happy (give a man a whistle and ...) beach guard and they have showers! Add a volleyball court and some music. No purchasing required.
And yes, they had a private birthday party going on the side with good retro music! Enjoyed the day.
Ended the day in 'Cream Center' resturant across the street. | | Entry India | | Finally after much anticipation and anxiety, went to Houston International Airport on March 15 3 hour early. Northwest people told me, do you know your flight is delayed by 5 hours. My jaw dropped because that meant missed connection. The lady smiled and said that since I was early, I could go to next terminal and board Continental leaving in 45 minutes, but I would have to lug my luggage! and here goes my special meal. (Horror)
But at Houston airport they had me throw away my expensive bottle of perfume bought in Paris, that hurt. So boarded Continental to Amsterdam and looked for some cheese at the airport. Boarded the NorthWest connection to Mumbai. On flight read Davinci Code. At Mumbai airport, no hassle luggage, immigration and customs!
Paid for the prepaid cool cab around 450). Outside the terminal India hit me with full force! Could hardly breath and talk due to pollution. Welcome to India!
Prepaid guy delivered me to Tardeo area swiftly. On the way I could tell when I passed Bandra just by the smell. Passed Sidhhivinayak temple, a revered family site for us. Passed Haji Ali area, a favorite spot of mine and reached destination. | |
