Longest journey ever - Jodhpur to Palakkad

I must confess that it is not going to be easy doing this trip on road just for the heck of, it but want to make it memorable by visiting important places en-route to our destination, Palakkad. I am hoping that this forum would assist me by listing the places that I 'MUST NOT MISS' during this journey. Also, places to stay would be an added advantage..

Our plan is to drive in April and hope to reach our destination within 4 days... Help needed to make it memorable

Can this be done in 4 days?

I've got no maps with me, but just guessing.

Jodhpur-Ahmedabad (459 kms)
Ahmedabad-Panvel (510)
Panvel-Karwar (550+) (can't work this out as Indian railways adds extra distance to this sector to increase revenue)
Karwar Palakkad (500+, same problem as above)

All 4 seem like too much for 1 day, but those 4 journeys one day after each other, wow, that's hard work.

Maps of India's distance calculator has the distance as 2005kms, but doesn't go via NH 17, it takes the inland route.

To get the NH17 route, first search for Jodhpur to Panvel (MA), then Panvel to Palakkad.

Jodhpur to Panvel = 956kms
Panvel to Palakkad = 1138kms

Total kms = 2094

Thx buddy, it was very useful for us to revisit the plan and we have decided to not take this up as per our earlier plan. We now plan to drive upto Ahmedabad and fly out from there.

may be a good oppotunity for us to visit Udhaipur, Mt Abhu etc. Suggestions welcome if we need to visit anyother important places..
