Jodhpur vs Bundi
They are both known as the blue cities, and Bundi is a bit more off the beaten track. But what are the real differences, the pro's and contra's for these places. If you had to recommand one, which city would it be?

I prefer Bundi. It's smaller, more relaxed, friendlier population (due to less tourists), nice countryside surrounding it which is great to explore on a moped or bicycle. Bundi fort is deserted and ruined, you can go up there and it's just you and the monkeys.
Jodhpur fort is amazing, and the old city itself is a fascinating place to wander and get lost in. But I prefer the more laid-back atmosphere in Bundi, so would choose that. I spent 6 days in Bundi and 2 in Jodhpur. |

I don't know Jodhpur, but spent 2 great weeks in Bundi. Will go back again for sure. Do rent a bike like Shiver says and explore the surrounding countryside if you venture there.

Thanks for your input, but does it mean that Bundi's (old) city is not that fascinating?

Not at all, it's a great place as well, and like I said, more relaxed and friendly.

Jodhpur is simply a place you should visit while being in Rajasthan due to the stunning, most extraordinary fort and the beautiful old city where one can wander around for hours and days.
Bundi is a nice place one can visit when it is on the way. Jodhpur has the better sights however. Bundi is a small place without much to offer except for a tranquil atmosphere |

Is it possible to travel to Bundi from Delhi via Kota. How long would it take me? And then from Bundi to Jodhpur, whats the most logic way to do it?

delhi to kota is 7hrs by train(there are many trains on this route),further 1 hr to bundi.
bundi to jodhpur- that's the way i can think of- get to udaipur by overnight bus or by taxi- you can visit chittaurgarh on the way and then onwards to jodhpur by bus or taxi. |
