ppinks, you'll like Diggi Palace. Very comfortable rooms, breakfast in the garden, and friendly staff.
For next trip booked at Ratan Vilas also. |

It's good itinerary. As i said earlier also 2 days are sufficient in Jaipur. You may add Ranthambore for 3rd day. It will be an exciting excursion. For Jaisalmer - Jodhpur & Jodhpur - Udaipur plenty of buses are available. Take only Rajasthan Govt. buses, private buses are very unreliable. A suggestion for Udaipur hotel is Mewar Haveli.

My suggestion is to travel this route:
Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - BIKANER - Delhi. This avoids going back from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur to Delhi. Train services are good on the entire route. Spend at least half a day at the Junagarh fort in Bikaner. |

If you are doing Rajasthan than Ranthammbore is better.

Its convenient but you need to think a bit more. Here's why.
a. Your kids are your kids - you know their motivations. What we can tell you is that ranthambore = ok ok fort (abandoned) + ok ok sanctuary (medium chance of tiger sightings) b. The costs are in line with european tourists' ability to pay fyi.

hotel in jaisalmer
Kindly suggest a hotel in jaisalmer for a day or two stay. Will any hotel arrange for the camel safari to the sanddunes or do we need to arrange on our own. Is it recommended to stay overnight in the camp ??

It's advisable to book safaris directly, Booking through the hotels will add one more layer and will increase the cost. There are many agencies around the fort.
We came back after Safari + Dinner at the camp. Stay in desert camp appeared costly to us... |
