Anyone stayed at Jee Ri Haveli????

Hi, I'm looking at accommodation in Jodhpur and have come across Jee Ri Haveli on Tripadvisor, which looks quite good. There are no reviews on IM though. Has anyone been there and if so, how was it?

I haven't but it does look nice.

If it's of any use I thoroughly recommend Ratan Vilas although it's not in the centre of town. Food is terrific and the hotel lovely.

Thanks a lot for the tip, it does look nice and the reviews are good too. How far from the centre is it? I'm not sure if we want to stay near the centre or not, I know it's convenient but it might be a bit noisy

Yes, I got a reply from them yesterday:

TARIFF RATES FOR SUPER DELUXE ROOM: RS. 1800/ ( LAKE AND FORT VIEW WITH AIR CONDITONER WITH BALCONY).

TARIFF RATES FOR STANDARD ROOM: RS. 1500/ (LAKE AND FORT VIEW WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONER WITH BALCONY).

TARIFF RATES FOR STANDARD ROOM: RS. 1500/ (WITHOUT LAKE AND FORT VIEW WITH AIR CONDITIONER).

Depending on when you are going, you could choose between the view and the AC!

I have planned my 1 night stay in Jodhpur in Jee Ree Haveli, for the coming tuesday. From the photographs, I can see that it has really marvelous view of lake and fort. And from the reviews and my telephonic interaction with the caretaking family, they appear to be pretty decent.
They offered me their super deluxe room (ac + view + balcony) for Rs. 1500, which is cool.
Would post the real experience after a week.

It is 35 degrees during the day time in Jodhpur nowadays, which is not at all pleasant. So I have cancelled my trip and planned for Nainitaal, a hill station.

We stayed here in January 2011, and were very happy with the accommodation. The room was clean, decent bathroom w/ hot water, fresh linen etc.

There's a great rooftop deck with view of fort and other highlights. It's a nice & restful place to relax at sunset over dinner, after a crowded visit to the market or wherever. The manager there was very helpful and accommodating. At our request he arranged for a tuktuk one day to go around to the fort and other sites. He can also arrange for pick-up and drop-off at the train station.

You wouldn't want to walk to the fort from the Jee Ri Haveli, but you can walk to the marketplace(clock tower).

we stayed here last year, really nice owners who bend over backwards or try to. paid 900 rupes a night for a lovely double room with private balcony overlooking lake and fort. very good food to. the only thing is when we got to jhodpur our driver took us just round the corner to another place first, it was a bit 2 much at 1200 for the night but i tell you the bath oh the bath i still dream of it. but anyway we ended up at jee ri and it was lovely. and clock tower is not far away and is a interesting walk

Wink

I would be staying at Jee Ree Havaili mid Feb. I would for sure be updating on my stay. This property was short listed after I failed to secure rooms at the Pal haveli.
I have booked the super deluxe room. Is this the best one?. Do advice on this. I know for a fact there a rooms which have no view and no windows . Would not like to be in one of them for sure.
