I know there are facilities for shower and toilet there, not particularly nice but doable. I recollect seeing a sort of dormitory adjacent, but I honestly don't know if there are single rooms available. If they don't have single rooms, I think they would have storage for you to leave your luggage.
There is Govind hotel, just in walking distance from the station, just along to your right on that road as you come out of the main front entrance. It is only a minute or so along the road, on the side opposite to the railway, and it has clean rooms with bathrooms, which they will give to people in your sort of situation. You could have your breakfast there etc. - I've had meals on their rooftop and they are reasonably priced, and good.
smartjakes - in your post you are travelling to Jodhpur, but asking re Jaipur for retiring rooms - I presume you mean for Jodhpur? My answer relates to Jodhpur station.

For a single off the top of my head, and because it's only for the day, maybe around 300r. max. I would think. Next time I see these people when I'm in Jodhpur, I should check it out, but it won't be till later this year.

Jodhpur Retiring room charges are just Rs. 150 for non AC room and Rs. 350 for an AC room. Dormitory is priced at Rs. 75 only.
