Udhampur railway station to Katra

Hi,

I will be arriving to Udhampur railway station by uttar sampark kranti. Can I get a cab from the railway station to Katra?? Almost all info is on cabs from Jammu to Katra. While I know that would be easier, I just dont want to miss the train journey from Jammu to Udhampur which I have heard is fantastic.

If there are cabs, what are the rates and how long does it take to reach? I called up a couple of hotels in Katra and they asked me to come from Jammu

I really want to go to Udhampur if possible

First of all, its perfectly alright to go Katra from Udhampur railway station, will cost you 1600-2000/- one side and on sharing basis it should be near 400/-, get a quote from udhampur railway station from IRCTC counters itself. Yes train journey from Jammu-Udhampur is excellent especially tunnels midway...awesome!
