I thank you for the person who has posted the number of Mr. Virender Sharma on the net. I visited Vaishno Devi on 04/12/2011. Mr. Virendra Sharma is a nice man who not only fulfilled his role of a driver but also gone one step ahead by taking care of my necessities and guiding me. He was on time at Railway Station took me to a Hotel Where I took bath with nominal charges and took me to Helipad free of cost.

I had visited jammu 3 months back ,and had taken services of mr.tilak sharma--9906340404.He is not only a very good driver but is also very good and humble human being .He also made arrangements for our stay but also went and arranged for our yatra receipt and so there was no need for us to stand in the Que.
I srongly recommed him for Jammu and Kashmir.

Please if anyone know taxi fare from Katra to Jammu airport
in Jan '2012, or any other cheap mode to arrive jammu airport.

@Touristindian You can take Ambassader or maruti van which will cost you Rs 820 and if Indica it will be Rs. 920. Approximate time is about 2 hrs, not more than that.You will easily get taxi from there so no pre booking necessary.

Can any one tell about Katra to jammu Rates for Tempo traveler ? We are 11 persons and On return way would like to visit some places at jammu also.

Thanks for shearing cell number of Mr. Virender Sharma, We had recently visited jammu for vishnodevi darshan on 24th may'12 and he drop us at katra in his indica, we paid him Rs 1200/- for this and he too help in getting good hotel.
Further we also went to Patnitop on 25th may'12, very beautiful hill station. This time Mr. Radhe took us and drop us at jammu on next day. Mr. Radhe is also a very good and gentleman. His cell number is 9419627109. The trip from katra - Patnitop - Jammu cost us Rs 4500/- in indigo AC car.
We strongly recommend Mr. Radhe for any Taxi requirement in jammu/katra. He is taxi driver.

Ideally the charges between Jammu to Katra by Indica is Rs 640/- one way!

Well we have tried at prepaid booth and situation there is very alarming as ppls are standing with prepaid tickets but no taxi driver is coming forward.
Due to heavy summer rush every one wants to make money.

3) If the flight reaches at 3 pm is it safe to travel or should one stay in Katra and travel the next day morning?
