Vaishnav devi in december

Hi All,
I am planning to visit vaishnav devi shrine on 14th Dec 09. Thereafter, i would like to visit either kashmir or rishikesh. Can you please update me with what would be better and the modes to travel there? Also, it is possible to visit bedini at that time of the year?

Kashmir will have snow at that time...

You may go by air or by bus/Taxi/Shared Sumo to Srinagar.

Fopr Rishikesh there is a direct train from Jammu.

But i guess the 4610 (Hemkund exp) doesnt stop @ Rishikesh from dec onwards. Thats what i got to know from Irctc site.
what would be my other options to visit? i have 3-4 days with me before i head back to mumbai?

I am planning to visit Vaishnavo Devi Temple - I am from Chennai - Planning to Reach New Delhi first - Please suggest the best route / time to visit to that holy place.

There are many trains from New Delhi to Jammu. Average travel time is 9-10 Hrs. The most comfortable is 2425 Jammu Rajdhani.
