Travelling alone to Kashmir, need some good company

Among these places which all palces can be preferred for a comfortable stay, Main concern is easy transportation (via shared cab or JKSRTC) and good restaurants for Kashmiri Cuisines.
Shalimar
Wazir bagh
Dal gate
Lal chowk
Rajbagh
Zero Bridge
Iqbal park
Exchange Road
Nehru Park
Mandir Bagh

lal chock area is best are because its in center of the city , food easily available and transportation also
JKSRTC not run there cab for sight seen because its little off season in valley ,
you have visit in local cab which is easily easily available at lal chowk but some time you have change the vehicle to reach gulmarg, phalagam ,

It indeed is. Also, it is usually the site of a demonstration / bandh whenever there's a need for the same in the kashmir valley. To get a fair idea, google the following terms together: Bandipora killing Lal chowk and see what HT.com throws at you. Since you're traveling alone, I'd advise you to keep a very close watch on the security situation. Refer to sites like greaterkashmir.com for up to date information before you visit. When you're in the city, talk to the shopkeepers (they're usually quite frank about the security issue if any) and read the papers daily before you venture in a particular direction.
Not trying to make you think all negatively but just a word of caution from one solo traveller to another.
Oh and coming to your question, the nageen lake is quieter and safer, though lal chowk is cheaper. Within your list, only dal gate rings a bell as an option. Disclaimer: I only know people who have been to Srinagar, never been there myself.
Good luck
Vaibhav
Thank you Vaibhav- I am bit afraid, but much happy to travel alone. This is my first trip alone in my life time

Anyway i am planning to rule out Lal chowk for my stay, In the above mentioned locations i found out some hotels which costs less than 1000/- per night
