Srinigar Adventure
I am thinking of flying up to Srinigar for a week or two at the begining of April. Can anyone tell me about the current situation there? I am also interested in what the weather will be like and also whether the road to Leh will be open?? Thanks Gang!

Hi Volga
Have you not been to Srinagar earlier also. I remember finding a lot of interesting info from your previous posts.

Those who are planning to visit Kashmir recently, please be prepare for heavy rainfall and snowfall at Gulmarg. One of my friends just came back yesterday and according to him the political situation and terrorist activity is not something special (Kashmir standard).
He said that Jammu-Srinagar highway (between Patnitop and Srinagar) was closed for a few hours due to heavy rainfall. But thanks to Indian army, their prompted action made everything normal. I am looking forward to see your Kashmir Pictures, Volga. Happy journey. - Somnath
