Question Some not-so-common places around vaishno-devi

Hey all,

Planning a trip to vaishno-devi towards the end of this month. wanted to knw if there are some unique places to visit in and around jammu, katra and devi mandir, some places that are not found on websites.
will be grateful if someone lets me know. actually its a veru short trip. for 3 days only, so cant cover lots of places, only some very unique places, if someone knows abt them.

thanks.

regards,
bonny

Question Some not-so-common places around vaishno-devi

Thanks a ton shimla,

now could u guide me if we shud go to patni top frm jammu or katra. how far is the place frm katra? also, how much time will it take frm both jammu and katra. all these info r very imp. for me so that we can plan accordingly. currently the situation is, we probably come down to katra after devi darshan at around 9 am and have train at 9 pm the same day. will it b worthwhile to visit sanasar too since its just 17 kms frm patni top. kindly advise.

thanks again.

rgds,
bonny

I haven't seen Sanasar, so cannot comment on the same. You can go to Patnitop directly from Katra(85 kms.)

Am giving you the link to an excellent, informative site on Patnitop and its surroundings:
