road conditions srinagar-leh now ???
hi,
i urgently need to know about the road conditions at the current time, in order to try to drive in, or book my plane ticket beforew leaving germany on 28. october please help ... yours thomas |

what i forgot to mention
ps. someone told me about early snows on the passes between manali and leh and advised me that jeeps are no longer available .

The problem is that road conditions can change very quickly at this time of year and 12 hours of snowfall can make all the difference. I really don't see how you can make arrangements until you arrive in Delhi, unless you decide that you are going to fly into Leh.
Can any of our Delhi members find out if the Srinagar-Leh and Manali-Leh roads are currently open? |
