Since this would be my first Ladakh biking trip and I am not certain whether I should do this this with a non regular rider who has never done a hill biking trip! (Please get in touch with me at joshi.diwakar@gmail.com in case someone is interested to join) Also for the gurus who have undertaken the ride before around the same time ! Please let me know what to expect from the weather. Cant afford to get stuck in a landslide. Gurus please also advice whether the trip should be undertaken with a a non regular biker or alone.. Thanks Diwakar |

| Maha Guru Member | I have just done most of this route recently. We had a fantastic time. Have a good trip. This is a very hard ride for accomplished riders. with much more off-road type conditions than good smooth road. Zoji La was particularly difficult with the type of road surface and traffic conditions. This section is not for the faint hearted. This had very deep soft dust and rocks, not so good for grip. Rothang Pass is not much better as they are repairing the road as in the past there have been land slips. There is a lot of muddy parts you have to cross or drive/ride on.

| Maha Guru Member | Take your time and enjoy the ride of a lifetime. You will gain a lot of experience from this trip, as we as accomplished riders did so. One other thing I did not mention was take 2 days to travel from Delhi to Manali. I know everyone says it can be done in 1 day. Hey who in their right mind wants to do a 13 hour ride. The whole point of doing a trip like this is to enjoy the ride, it's not race with the first prize of having a sore backside or getting tired and having an accident. |

| Mike Completed the journey last Friday.. It was an awesome experience.. Thank for the help extended... Rohtang came across smooth though it had been raining for three days .. ZoZilla after the first decent was initially a little scary with pillion rider and luggage but managed well as was mentally prepared.. Would upload the photographs soon. Fortunately had no issues with bike breakdown or with AMS. Thanks again!! |

| Maha Guru Member | I am glad to hear you had a most enjoyable experience. The tricky question is. After such a trip, where do you go next...? |
