I had tried once on a small bit. It was not comfortable, at least for me, as it hurts.

Plenty of people do it, so you may also try it. You may book it till next point, in stead of whole route and further extend it for next point or whole route.

Slipping could happen to walkers/trekkers also.

You would find few stretches where there are patches of wet track due to melting snow!

Yes, you would be able to walk with Nike shoes!!

Diamox is for preventing high altitude sickness. It would not supply oxygen!

You should start practicing/doing deep breathing exercise. It would keep oxygen supply appropriate in your system.

I start using COCA 30 potency (usually found in Homeopathy drug shops) at least three days prior to moving towards higher altitude. It helps!

Is it comfortable & safe doing the yatra on pony ? do the ponies slip on wet track ?
You can hire pony for few points. From Nunwan base camp, you will get taxi /mini buses for Chandanwari. Tracking starts from Chandanwari.
1. For Chandanwari to ShesNag Track: You can hire pony upto pissu top. It is 3Km steep track. From pissu top to sheshnag you can walk easily.
2. From Shesnag to Panjtarni Tracj: You can hire pony upto Mahagunus top, From there is descent track upto panjtarni.
