Need info on Kashmir tour

Please find below my itinenary details..

24th Oct: catch duronto exp from howrah
25th Oct:Reach NDLS and sight seeing...catch uttarsampark exp at 8.30pm
26th Oct:reach jammu at 6am...I'll take private car from Jammu to Srinagr.(or should I stay back in Jammu and next morning we can visit to Srinagar)
27 th Oct:Srinagar to Sonmarg nd return
28th Oct:Srinagar to Gulmarg nd return
29 th Oct:Srinagar to Yushmarg,dodhganga
30th Oct:Srinagar local sight seeing
31 Oct:Srinagar to Pahelgaon
1 st nov:Pahelgaon sightseeing
2 nd nov: Pahelgaon to Jammu and cath uttarsamparkranti exp..

1.Can any one provide me what is the cost of private car from jammu to srinagar?

2.Srinagar sightseeing cost in private car?

3.Srinagar to sonmarg,Srinagar to Gulamarg,Srinagar to Yushmarg cost in private car?

4.Srinagar to pahelgaon and houseboat cost in dal lake?

Should I need to change the itinenary mentioned above,please reply with valuable suggestion...

As your trip is from Jammu -Srinagar- Jammu, it is better you hire private car for whole trip on per day basis from Jammu itself. Indica will cost you 1400-1500 per day and Sumo may be 1800-2000 per day. You have to hire local taxi in Pahalgam to Visit Aru Valley and Chandanwari and Betab valley.

You can get good houseboat accomodation in 1000-1500 range.

Another thing is it be worth, if I start journey to srinagar after reaching jammu at 6.30 am without staying back jammu?
I'll reach srinagar at evening so better should I book hotel/houseboat in jammu in advance or need to book after reaching srinagar..please advice..Any contact no or good hotel/houseboat within range within 1000 bucks..

Because in Pahalgam for local sightseeing you have to hire taxi from Pahalgam taxi union. No outstation taxi is allowed to go to Aru valley, Chandanwari or Betab valley.

Yes it is worth to move on same day to Srinagar because if you leave Jammu at 7.00 a.m. you will reach Srinagar by 6.00 P.M. and you have plenty of option for stay in houseboat and hotels and after seeing the room / HB you can make on spot booking.

If you plan to hire car from Jammu for dropping at Srinagar . It will cost you around 3500/- (For Sumo) and at Srinagar if you hire sumo for day trips the avg day cost will be 1700 per day nad again there is a cost to drop back to Jammu. So it is better you hire taxi from jammu itself as it suited to your itinary also. There is no reason to pay extra if you hire Jammu car as compare to Srinagar car.

There are a lot of taxis available at Jammu Bus Stand which charges one way.

Please see By Road section of JK Tourism for reference, which says,

"It is also possible to travel by taxi from Jammu to Srinagar in about 8 hours. The cost is Rs.2100/-(Tata Sumo) & Rs.2400/- car taxi. If you are travelling alone, it is worth enquiring at the taxi stand in the Tourist Reception Centre, Jammu (Tel 2546266) about the availability of taking a shared taxi at an approximate cost of Rs.460/- per head in car taxi Rs. 300/- per head in Tata Sumo"...

It is always better to reach Jammu Taxi stand and then negotiate than pre-booking.
