Losar Festival Ladakh (?)

yesterday we went to the tourist reception centre in srinagar, and they had a printout with dates which said the Losar festival would be starting of 12 december.

can anyone confirm this, if it is still going on ?

any other info would be greatly appreciated, cause we are about to go there in next couple of days (or not).

thanks in advance.

Lossar is in Ladakh ?

I used to have a friend from Losaar and I think this is in Spiti.
After crossing Kunzum-La you reach Losaar which is approx 14000 ft.

Do not know about Festival in Lossar and if it there-you can find some information from Himachal Govt. site www.himachal.nic.in/
