Hmm guys,

Are there any budget options for Gulmarg - something nice yet not seedy. JKTDC is 2500 in feb 2010. For a family trip incl parents - I need contacts for all the 3 destinations - srinagar - want to have a houseboat (in under 1500), gulmarg (under 2500), pahalgam (around 1500) per room.

Any headups? pictures?

Hi,

sorry opened this link after a long. So, have you planned your trip???

For Hotels as i said, nivalink can be used to surf and know about properties and then call up the hotels directly and book.

U must be very excited about your trip. I surely was. Do let me know about your trip status...

Cheers

We plan to hire a vehicle for us during our trip in April. Could you please share the details (Price, car type, driver's contact etc)of the car you booked?

Hi boss

I am planning to Kashmir during May 2012. We are 5 families. I am trying to book thru IQRA Travels or Panicker Travels. Are this travel agents gud in arranging tour in Kashmir boss? If no, pl let me know which travel agent is gud for Kashmir visi

We are all from chennai. Will start by rajdhani to reach delhi and by shalimar to jammu. Full 2 days travel. IQRA has given the following shedule:

1st day - from jammu station proceeding to Phalgham. Stay at Phalgham.
2nd day - full day in Phalgam. One night at Dolphin.
3rd day - Phalgam to Srinagar. One night at House Boat.
4th day - Srinagar local sight seeing.
5th day - Srinagar to sonmarg and return. One night at Srinagar.
6th day - Srinagar to Gulmarg and return. One night at Srinagar
7th day - Srinagar airport drop.

Is this itenary holds gud? What r the other important places to be covered in kashmir? My friend is suggesting to go to Patori Top. Is it gud place?

Pl suggest me with suggestions and also with gud itenarary boss for full 7 days.

Expecting your early reply boss...

Thanks

R Vijaykumar

Note that traveling to sonmarg and gulmarg on day trips consecutively can be tiring. So instead of going to yusmarg, you could spend the day in srinagar, else just pick one of sonmarg and gulmarg and stay there. And these many destinations are more than enough for the number of days you have.

From Jammu to Srinagar on the way visit kud famous for sweet and walnut orchards
and from Srinagar to gulmarg on the way visit Apple orchard, Tangmarg
and From Srinagar to Phalagam on the way visit Saffron field, Avativarman temple and Mattan Temple

hi

shall i know why i should avoid night stay at patnitop? my operator advised me to travel from jammu railway station to phalgam... since v would have already travelled 2 days in train i.e from chennai to jammu, he told that instead of going to phalgam, v can stay 1st day at patnitop with full rest... is there any problem over there? is it not worth staying in patnitop? pl advice me....

then from srinagar to sonmarg and return to srinagar on same day
and then from srinagar to gulmarg and return to srinagar on same day... will it not be hectic travelling 4 hrs from srinagar and return 4 hrs again srinagar on same day? kindly advise in this also boss...

v r planning this tour during may 15, 2012... will it be gud season with snow and all... or shall v prepone it to mid of april... i am having 5 yrs old kid... pl tell me....

April is always better, plan then if you can.
Patnitop too is good, but nothing like pahalgam,if you can reach pahalgam on the same day,go for it,though it will be a long journey.
Sonamarg day trip is very hectic, and you dont get enough time too,a stay is definitely recommended.

Generally Patnitop is a day stop and it is suggested to avoid stoppage just to save your money. We generally stay at Jammu for acclimatization and stay at Patnitop if wished but not as a resting point!

Patnitop is advisable to those person who are arriving late in Jammu. Patnitop is a good stop which helps in avoiding heat and rust at Jammu!

It is hundred per cent your wish hat are the places you need to stay!

Your itineraries seem to be okay and it would not be hectic for you including the kid!
