Jammu to Pahalgam
Hi all,
does anyone know whether it's possible to get straight from Jammu to Pahalgam (i.e. w/o having to go first to Srinagar) either by bus or by taxi. I've heard there's also another option, that is to get to Anantnag from where I could catch a bus to Pahalgam. But is there a bus service from Jammu to Anantnag?? thanks a lot, Nathalie |

That's a kickass name, do you want to tell us the story behind it?
![]() (my kashmir info is about ten years out of date, and I'm sure there have been many changes since, which is why I'm not attempting an answer, but the short answer was yes on option 2, but that may have changed.) |

well "tanku" stands for "thank you" & "bolo" means "say"/"speak" in Hindi (in the imperative mode). And it's a sentence I have heard a lot ( from parents to their kids) in India; I have started using it with my travelling buddies to the great delight & amusement of the Indians...
thanks anyway, Nathalie |
