HI All,
I have been to many of this threads for this Topics and have got a lot of valuable information, thanks to you all contributors. Yet I would ask for the same question(u can imagine how much I am confused ) as i would require the expert comments from those guys who had been there.I am planning to reach jammu tavi on 22nd at 4pm, after which I am planning to start for KATRA( and stay there in the temple dharmashala for one night) and other day start for the devis's darshan on 23rd,hopefully it should be over by evening. after that I would still have 3 days in hand during which I would like to visit (dal lake, house boats stay,if possible manas sarovar) or any other interesting site with snow would also be fine. would someone help me with the Iternary and where to stay in kashmir( cheap or budget accomodation, dharmashala's would also do)? Thanks in advance waiting for your replies,BTW I have my train tickets back on 26th from Jammu tavi. |

So you will arriving on 22nd SEP mans in Navraatri days. It seems very difficult that you will b able to return on 23rd night after darshan due to very heavy rush. haan, if you opt halicopt serivce thn deffinatly you will otherwise no chance. i think you plan your programe for Patnitop or Bhaderwah(Mini Kashmir). |

Hi rupeshrkadam,
I will not suggest you to go Srinagar because your return train is from Jammu. If everything goes according to your plan (which is difficult due to Navratri's time) then you have 3 days in hand to hang around. If you go to Srinagar then you will lose your 2 out of 3 days in journey from katra to Srinagar and back. But if you are so desperate about houseboat stay then you can give it a shot if time allows. |
