J&K Tour : Best month to visit

I am planning to visit Kashmir during the month of May. Please advise : ((

(1) Is this the best month to visit?

(2) Whether I may be able to get the snowfall?

(3) Whether It will be a rainy season?

Thanks for reply. Whether we will be able to see the Tulip Gardens and Tulip Flowers during the 1st week of May? What is the time period for the Tulip Flowers? What are the other Gradens to be watched during May?

i think not possible to see tulip in first week of may because the garden open for only one month from 20 march to 20 April

Thaknks Kahmir1. I am having another option i.e, to visit in 28th-29th March. During this time may we get the chance to see Tulip Garden. Also clarify, whether the season will be quite OK. Because as per news channels this time till end of March heavy winter and snow fall will be there. Whetehe this will affect the Tulip blooming and Tulip Garden time. Please clarify at the earliest so as to finalise my plan.

Hello Kashmir1 : As per News Channels this year due to La-Nina effect cold season and snow fall will be upto the end of March. Is due to this effect any chance of shifting the bloomings of Tulip flowers, and any chance of the Tulip Garden opening to be sshifted from MAR-APRIL to APRIL-MAY.

If the winter is a prolonged one than naturaly the Tulips will bloom late.

Thanks Sunny for your information. Please inform about your view on my March plan. I am having option of visitng Kasmir on 27th March to 31st march. Whether this will be good season. May I get chance of getiing Tulip Flowers, if everthing remains same as was in last year.

Dear Sunny, please intimate about places to visit in Kasmir, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg and other places of interest. It will help me to plan my plan accordingly.

If its possible try to come in mid April you will see kashmir in full bloom, also you would be able to touch snow at Gulmarg/sonamarg and chandanwari at Pahalgam.

better would be in 2nd or 3rd week of April as Tulips bloom for very short period.
