Am just soaking in Kashmir at the moment, perfectly safe place except for the difficulties caused by the Hartal over oil price rise

Kashmir is Safe

I am in total agreemnet with you.We were in Kashmir from June 04 to 11 and there is absolutely no reason for feeling unsafe.There are granade attacks reported today in Srinagar and also reports of Four personnel killed in Kishtawar(Jammu region) but this should not deter anyone willing to travel in June/July.The security personnel deployed just watch the roads and we have not seen anyone being harrased by them.Kashmir people want tourists as they are a major source of income.My family enjoyed all the hikes and excursions.I will be posting my travel account soon. |
