guest houses in srinagar

The jktourism site gives a list of many guest houses.
so are these places good? and which will be the best areas to stay in?(like lalchowk,boulevaed etc..)

No doubt about it, Boulevard is a safer option.

We stayed 4 yrs ago in Raj Bagh area, in a quest house called Green Acres. I can warmly recommend it. I believe it has also been renovated since.

In this particular order Nagin, Dal and finally Jhelum. Nagin is most peacefull, and also most expensive.

Can u help me with the details of hotels there in srinagar....I am reaching there on 10th...and i will take my flight back to kolkata on 17th from srinagar...pl help me to book good hotels/houseboat in srinagar and pahalgam (for 2 days).

I will be in Srinagar for a day...any decent cheap GH to spend one night...i would like it close to the bus stand so i can catch the early morning bus out with ease. Also is the TRC and Bus Stand close to each other... it seems so just want a confirmation.
