Advice required on Amarnathji Yatra 2012 - 18th July

Dear Friends,
We are a group of 6 guys [all 28 to 30 years age group]from Mumbai going to Srinagar for Amarnathji yatra [via Pahalgam] on 18 th of July 2012,we have done online registration for 19 th July 2012.
We have a few queries regarding the yatra, so people who have taken the yatra through the Pahalgam route n other experienced yatris please help us...., the following are the queries :-

1] We will be allowed to start the yatra on 18 th itself or on 19 th only , and in case if our flight is postponed than can we take the yatra on 20 th July ?

2] We are planning to go through the Pahalgam route n want to exit through the Baltal route, so is it allowed n will it be possible for us keeping in mind the tough route of Baltal?

3] If the above no.2 question is YES than what about the luggage? Where to keep it any idea?

4] Any suggestions for the trekking gear [ shoes, track suit etc etc ] ?

5] Any check list, particularly for the yatra duration, what things/ any food items to carry?

6] Considering the high altitude do we need to take DIAMOX tablets as advised for the Ladakh tour ?

7] Any other medicines ?

8] Do we need to carry heavy woolens , thermal inner wear etc , do the temp falls below 15 deg. cel. even in the month of July ? And what about the rain gear ?

9] How is the route and camping and food expenses during the yatra?

10] Traveling expenses :-
a] Srinagar airport to Pahalgam [ private taxi as well as bus ]
b] Paahalgam to Srinagar
c] Baltal to Srinagar
d] Srinagar to Gulmarg to srinagar
e] Srinagar local including kheer bhawani temple.

Please help/advise us regarding the above issues... Regards.....
