Advice on itinerary and hotels

Hi,

I have just joined India Mike a couple of days back. I am planning a long jeep safari in July 2010 but wanted to put things in order now only. So that next year all I need to do is book the hotels.

My skeletal itinerary;

Day 1: Delhi-Jammu/ Please advise a good clean budget hotel that in not inside Jammu. I would only be transiting from here so I would rather not waste time getting in and out of Jammu.
Day 2: Jammu-Srinagar/ Any good budget house boats with 02 rooms
Day 3: Srinagar. Shall be doing local sightseeing
Day 4: Srinagar-Pahalgam-Aru-Pahalgam-Srinagar/ A day trip
Day 5: Srinagar-Sonamarg/ Hike to Thajiwas Glacier/ Budget hotel to stay in Sonamarg
Day 6: Sonamarg-Kargil/ Good budget place to stay
Day 7: Kargil- Alchi/ Good budget place to stay
Day 8: Alchi-Leh
Day 9: Pangong Tso
Day 10:Leh
Day 11: Leh-Nubra/ where to stay in Nubra (Hundar, Sumur, Diskit etc) and good options
Day 12: Nubra
Day 13: Nubra
Day 14: Nubra-Leh
Day 15: Leh
Day 16: Leh- Tso Moriri
Day 17: Tso Moriri- Pang/ what are the options for accommodation
Day 18: Pang-Jispa
Day 19: Jispa-Jagatsukh
Day 20: Jagatsukh
Day 21:Jagatsukh-Delhi

It is a long drive We would be about 4 in total and using a Bolero for the drive. My friend is an experienced driver and we have done the Manali-Leh drive about 2 years ago.

Please advise if the itinerary is good, or if we are packing too many stuff in. Please advise budget hotels/camps to stay while on the route. The main requirement is that we would need a clean place to stay with clean toilets. I hope that's not asking for too much..

I dont think you have got your plan right.you are travelling back and forth in ladakh.
your plan should be
Day 8: Alchi-Leh
Day 9: Leh(get permits for tso moriri and pangong and hunder.visit stok,hemis,thiksey)
Day 10:Nubra/hunder
Day 11: Nubra/hunder
Day 12: Nubra/sumur
Day 13: Nubra-Leh
Day 14: Pangong tso
Day 15: Tso Moriri
Day 16: Tso Moriri- Sarchu
Day 17: i dont know where i missed a day.

ACCOMODATION:
sonmarg-jktdc guest house at 750 per dbl bedroom.
try to stay at niranjana at lamayaru.ithas a beatiful monastrey and 30 kms from alchi.500 rs.common but clean baths.
pangong tso-changla queen at durbuk(77 kms from pangong and 33 kms from chang la).250 per dbl room common but clean baths.
nubra-snow leopard guest house at hunder .500 dbl beds attached bath .
you dont have stay options at pang except the tea makers tent.you can pay rs 100-200 and stay there.alternative sarchu a tent will cost aroubd 1000 -2000 .himalyan odyssey,himalayan saga,goldrop adv are few options.

Thanks a ton for your advice. I have accordingly made the change in my plans, now heading on directly for Tso Moriri from Pangong Tso..
