Thanks Everyone

Thank You very much all of you for your help.

Some updates from my side. I have booked JKTDC Accomodation for Sonmarg. Now I want to check Pahalgam, Srinagar and Gulmarg. And what I could understand from the forum that I should spend less time in Gulmarg and rather spend more time in Sonmarg. So I may just spend a day in Gulmarg.

I have got one more contact for accomodation in Srinagar, given by Mr. Vipul Jain from our forum. It is some type of Homely Accomodation. I will talk to both of them (Other one from Diya) and finalise one.

Again thanks to everyone for sharing the information. Please feel free to contact if you think I should Add/Edit/Delete any of my Plans.

Regards
Ritesh

Pahalgam- go for mantoo cottages(slightly expensive,1700/day) or if you don't mind not booking, there are plenty of places along the river in laripora and chandanwari road which are away from the hustle bustle of the town, just go and search for accomodation.
Don't go for jktdc at pahalgam, it's far off from the river.
Also check himalaya house in the hotel review section.

European acccomodation??what is that??
Forgot to mention island resort..really nice location. Call them up and ask them for the rates..because the ones given by agents on the net will be higher than the actual ones.

Hi Sunny,

Just wanted to appreciate that your answers are really crisp & to the point.

From all the people who want to visit kashmir & benefit by seeing your write-ups a big thank you.

Also needed a couple of inputs:
1. You have already clarified that JKTDC acco at pahalgam is not good, then what is the best option (budget-2000-3000). You had mentioned Alpine Inn. How does island resort compare to it.
2. Is JKTDC acco at Sonamarg Okay. Also how much time is recommended to be spent at sonmarg.
3. Is JKTDC acco at gulamrg okay. How much better is Highlands park.

Thanks a ton again buddy.

Can you sms also send your mobile number so that i may call you up, if possible. My mobile number is 0-9819039000.

Regards,
Ullas

1. I have seen the island resort from outside, can say that the location is really good.
2.Spend as much time as possible in sonamarg and jktdc is the best bet for sonamarg.
