7th July to 15th July Jammu and Kashmir

Dear All,

Being a New to India Mike,was trying to connect my fellow travellers.

We two girls from India would be exploring Jammu and kashmir from 9th July to 15th July.

Kindly request you anyone on this forum, to help with below questions:

1. Places to visit both.
2. Delhi to Kashmir / Jammu travel
3. Safety with girls
3. Do you require any permission or anything for the same visiting places in any places there.
4. hotels and stay places to see.

Also thing to be be carried along with you.

Delhi to Jammu: trains / buses / Airlines. It' in India after all!

On your last point: regarding permissions: ILPs are required in select parts of Kashmir valley, not on most common points.

Form a rough itinerary first and post it here for IMers to comment. You'd get better help that ways.

Also I couldnt understand the meaning of IPLs

ILPs = Inner Line Permits (applicable in some border areas)

However it won't be applicable in the areas you would be visiting.


Corrected: Just noticed, had copy+pasted wrong abbreviations (IPL in stead of ILP)!
