Visited Amber Fort, Jai Singh Palace, Sisodia Queen's Garden, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Jaigarh Fort etc.
It seems Government of the state is spending good money on renovating all these priceless monuments. So best results would be in an year's time or so. We were disappointed that we did not find a place in Mahender-Lily's JasVilas. We got a mail from Mahender that their place is full. Went through a few posts here and checked Pearl Palace.....same result. Through makemytrip.com, booked a room in Badiyal Haveli and like everything else in Jaipur, even this is undergoing renovation. We requested them for their best room and for a few hundred rupees extra, they gave us a nice room in their nearby Heritage Hotel. Great 4 days and Jaipur is a nice city to visit. Practically every Rickshaw owner or street walker is a 'professional guide' here and starts telling you everything about anything and everything. Nice dinner and a lovely evening we had in Chokhi Dhani. ![]()
