Trying to choose between Umaid Bhawan and Umaid Mahal hotel in Jaipur...
Which of these two hotels in Jaipur would you pick? Are these heritage buildings?

Jodhpur
Umaid Bhawan is in Jodhpur. It is a heritage hotel and the residence of the Maharaja and Maharani of Jodhpur.

Slightly confusing!
I've short listed Umaid Bhavan or Umaid Mahal for 2 nights. And Pearl Palace or Arya Niwas for one night! |

I'm also looking at these 2 hotels. I know they're owned by the same family but which is the better place with regards to rooms, food, location etc?

Hi...as you already know, both are owned by the same family. They are also located in the same area & more or less same category(decent enough)...they are not actually heritage hotles but newer properties but built in the style of Old Buildings of Jaipur. You can also try out Hotel Shikha(much modern bulding) which would be in the same budget but it's location is amazing(faces a deer park)!!!

We finally booked Umaid Mahal we're not leaving for 3 weeks so I can't tell you what it's like but we decided on this one mainly because it's the newer of the 2.

I wanted to book Pearl Palace in Jaipur for a weekend in December... but they were already full in July !!
So then I booked Umaid Bhavan in Jaipur. In any case, do come back and write about your stay at Umaid Mahal. Would like to know what you thought of it. Thanks |
