Trip to Jaipur - Am in Trouble!!!!!

Hi all!!!

I am in trouble!! and I need help!!

I had a role change and my new boss wants me to arrange a trip for around 20-25 people (some married) to Jaipur.
From the looks of it, it does not appear that he is going to forget about the task he has assigned me!! For Petes sake.. I do not run a travel agency...

Since I am stuck with the task, I might as well do my best!!!

1. I am based in Gurgaon!
2. We intend to leave gurgaon by bus and on November 30th. We can leave around lunch time. (ahhh, we can start celebrating the weekend sooner)
3. Reach Chokidhani around 5/6 PM. Enjoy the Chokidhani village till around 10/11 PM
4. Sleep in a nice hotel.
5. Next morning. December 1st.. Wake up. Dress, pack our stuff and keep it in the bus.
6. Roam around/sight seeing/shopping in Jaipur till around 4/5 PM.
7. Leave Jaipur around 4/5 PM and come back to Gurgaon. (Have dinner somewhere on the way, if required)

I need help with "everything". The budget is around Rs 1500/- to Rs 2000/- per head.
This includes everything. Bus, hotel, food, village entrance, cost of entrance to a heritage site, guide fees etc.

Any suggestions?

The only comment I would make is that I think 5 hours at Chokki Dhani is too much.Wouldn't it be best to go to your hotel first, freshen up after the bus ride, go bathroom etc. then go out to Chokki Dhani? We went around 7.30 p.m. and had had enough by 9.45 p.m. It is not such a big place to wander around.

After a 5- or 6-hour bus journey most of the group will probably want to check into the hotel to freshen up before going out for the evening. So your hotel should definitely be the first port of call.

As has been said, a couple of hours at Chokki Dhani is probably enough; the secret of organising a good trip is not to give people time to get bored.

If you're leaving Jaipur at 4 or 5pm the next day then I'd say that a stop for dinner will definitely be required.

Aishah/Mickey S Thanks for your reply!!

I will agree with you that people would want to check in to the hotel first!!

Before reading my reason, please do understand that I am not in ANYWAY a bad person, inhuman, cruel or whatever evil names one can christen to people like these.

Normally, I have observed that if we check into the hotel with a large group, we all end up being late.

Some one wants to do poo poo. Someone wants to do change clothes. Someone wants to check his mail in a near by cyber cafe.
Someone suddenly decides to call his wife.

In fact, a group of 3-4 people would actually wander away to go and drink somewhere. Switch off their cell phones or maybe just excuse "OH NO!! I left my cellphone in the room"

All nature calls/changes can also be performed in the village itself. Last time, I was there, I was quite "surprised" to see the loos to be very clean!!

Yes, in case the most members of the group decide to go to the hotel first, we can always take a detour.

What do you suggest!!!

and HEY!!! Where do we stay? BUDGET HOTEL's please!!! 10 to 15 rooms. on Twin sharing. I need numbers/names

And who is going to give me a bus??
