train out of jaipur

HI All

I would like to know if its possible to get a train from jaipur to jalandhar (punjab)and if anyone has any idea how long the journey would be.

There's 3 different routes trains can take.

Train 9781 (Monday & Wednesday only), Jaipur 19.20, Jalandhar Cant 07.50 (3A, SL.)

Train 9771 (Tuesday & Saturday only), Jaipur 19.20, Jalandhar Cant 12:30 (3A, SL.)

Train 2413 (Daily) Jaipur 16.35, Jalandhar City 04:15 (1A, 2A, 3A, SL.)

Thanks for your very quick reply, much appreciated. I will be travelling in october 08 with my wife and 3 kids so i reckon the 3A option sounds good, now gonna go and hunt down some train fare prices....Thanks again

Train 9781....3A = Rs 705

Train 9771....3A = Rs 813

Train 2413....3A = Rs 756

Prices are per adult.

Children below the age of 5 can travel free (but their name and age still have to be added to the reservation form), children aged 5 – 11 travel at half the adult fare (paying the full reservation charge), 12 years and above pay full adult fares.

If your child is below 5, it may be a good idea to carry something that would prove their age.

Hopefully you can travel on a Monday or a Wednesday, Train 9781 has perfect timings, though there was an announcement in the rail budget that this train would have it's frequency increased, but there's no way of knowing if or when that will happen.
