The ONLY thing I hate about Jaipur...

Lassi walah is on M.I.Road or the main road of Jaipur opposite the famous Niros restaurant. .The lassi is worth a try!There are two or three lassiwalahs there go the original one he is selling only lasi in his shop.

I agree. I really liked some bangles that are generally about 5 rupees each (and even then that's my price and I'm not a hard bargainer) and he wanted 200 for four. They were the glass ones, nothing special about them I just liked the colour. I couldn't believe it and I refused to bargain on principle.
It must be worth selling these at outrageous prices, even if the only make one sale a day versus selling a lot at a reasonable price.

I did buy some silver jewelery in Jaipur. I probably paid more than a better bargainer would have but then, I really liked my purchase, the people I bought the stuff from were really pleasant and I think we all felt good about the transaction regardless of price and I think that's the way all transactions should leave people feeling.

.... it's only when they offer you that 'oops - they didn't even try to bargain gift' after the purchase will you really know if you've been 'shanghaied' - or in this case 'Jaipured'.
