Rajasthan in late April and early May

Anyone been to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bundi in late april and early may? How hot is hot?

if 1 is 'no sweat' and '10' is 'i'm going to melt now'.. what would it be?

i'm still wondering if i should go.

Difficult to grade it, I have a friend from Germany who showers with cold water during X-Mass time in Delhi!
Days will be hot & in the Sun quite uncomfortable. Evenings & nights will be less hot. Go for AC rooms, use a hat or an umbrella while walking around in sun, carry drinking water & rehydrate yourself at regular intervals, use sun screen creams.

If youre sure youll never be able to come to Rajasthan in the winters, then you should follow Jyotirmoy's advice. If you can put the trip off to the winters, do so.

Just tailor your needs to the heat. it's hot hot hot but many people have travelled in this time and survived.

Don't plan too many things, have long rests in the shade and as jyoti says KEEP Hydrated!!

welcome to rajasthan skinny!

i think it will be "5", today here in jaipur sky full of clouds, no sun at all, weather is cool but little dusty.

hope this remains for some day, let me know if you wanna see some cool places in jaipur where you are there to beat the heat.

Yes I would say 10. Just came back from Udaipur and for the first time in my life (been to India 14 times) felt hot. Evenings and nights are nice so it is worth going anyway.

Just noticed you are from Singapore. That's why you think hot is also necessarily humid.

Have you any experience of dry heat? In Rajasthan (April - May) - at 10 you will not melt but feel that your skin is burning.
