Smile Planning Bangalore to Jaipur round-trip with elderly person in December

Please advise what is the best way to get to Jaipur (really interested to see the palaces in this area) from Bangalore - I have an elderly person travelling with me.

After I get to Jaipur, any recommendations on where to stay (city, hotel etc.) and also, not knowing much about Jaipur/Udaipur, I am wondering if December is a bad month to visit.

Thanks!

After wiki Jaipur, I figured, I probably need guidance - I would like to visit those palace(s) shown in movies like ekalavya.

I am making this visit specifically for my mom and she loves historical places. I would appreciate your advise if Jaipur/Udaipur/Jaisalmer is the place to go. She has a bad back - so, I plan to be there for about 4-7 days, take her around in wheelchair and preferably fly in and fly out.

Please help advise. Thanks!

Welcome to indiamike.

December is definitely fine and you could fly from bangalore to udaipur or jaipur. Search hotel section for recommendation according to your budget.

thought there will be a much cold in rajasthan during dec. but must assume it sounds the perfect month for doing it. don't forget to being along few woolen cloths and full sieve shirts and t- shirts and few other safety measure to make sure you enjoy your holidays rather than spedning time in bed for nothing. either take a flight or trains to jaipur[ look in to irctc.co.in for train options] . a fleet of hotels do some google and choose as per your budget.from jaipur to udaipur, a train is going at night time [22:28 pm and arrive udaipur at 06:10 Am] , for buses follows this link-

http://www.rsrtc.gov.in/time_table.a...Category_id=-1

udaipur is worth a place to visit as recently awarded for beautiful city.pretty much hotels for all sort of budgets.
