Need budget hotel in Jaipur Monday 12th

I've exhausted the Rough Guide. All but one are full and that one wanted to charge me 1000/-.
Anyone know of a decent budget hotel (circa 300/-)that will have a room for three nights? Or at least a decent budget hotel.
I ask because the nearest telephone place is about a ten minute walk away from here across nightmare roads and I've already been three times!
By the way I'm staying in the Tourist Guest House in Amritsar and it's a bargain. Clean, friendly and 300 a night for en suite. Foods good too (and the beer).
Any help appreciated cos I'm having a nightmare!

Try Pearl Palace - your problem is it is Diwali and Jaipur gets full at this time! If they say they are full, you can turn up there when you arrive and take pot luck! They only reserve a certain no. of their rooms, and people will check out from some of the others in the morning so you could be lucky.

Thanks for that tried ringing but no luck.
Think I might get off the train early at Arwal and poke around there I've got six days to fill before the camel fair.
