1. LMB - lakshmee mistanna bhandar
http://www.hotellmb.com/Restaurant.htm Its a must visit for all tourists to jaipur. the sweet sop and the restaurant are both very good. They donot serve alchohol. 2. take a drive to choki dhani in the evening. its about 20 kms out of jaipur. you get to see a rajasthani village cum amusement park kind of thing and get a absolutely delicious traditional rajasthani full course dinner included in the entry price. Not to be missed for a first time visitor. http://phototravelings.blogspot.com/...ni-jaipur.html |

thank you Nayan ~ we'd alrady decided on the culture evening as it looked like fun and of course we're on holiday so when in Rome and all that .
How do I go about booking it though ? Or is it just as easy to hire a taxi for the night and do it like that , which reminds me , do we need to book for it ? |

No need to book. Theres nothing to book.
Your take a taxi to chokhi dhani and buy a ticket at the entrance. Just make sure that the taxi waits for you there for your return drive to the hotel. We had booked a car for a whole day and did nahargarh, jaigarh, amer in the day and reached chokhi dhani in the evening at around 6. we left chokhi dhani around 8:30 pm and reached our hotel by 9. |

Nayan :
Do LMB and Chokhi Dhani server beer? HellsBellsBaby: Try Niros and Copper chimney. Both are on MI road. If you want to enjoy beer, do it during sunset at the NaharGarh Fort. Rajasthan Government tourism folks server chilled beer exactly at the edge of the hill. Really thrilling! |

no paresh chokhi dhani and lmb dont serve beer.niros and copper chimney are age old restaurants.though the idea to drink beer at the foot hills is a kicker but they are govt run and are in a slightly run down condition.....................

Try buffet lunch at Hotel Park Prime at prithviraj Road near statue circle. They serve beer too.I think lunch would be around 300 rupees per person. maybe slightly less even.

Or if you are really broke, try Thali House or Santosh near Bus stand. They serve a good rajasthani thali. No beer though.

The most popular food joint in Jaipur is the old "Sharma Dhaba"...an open air dhaba on the Sikar Road....but no beer served (unless you want to make your own car-o-bar). A more polished choice would be Rajputana Sheraton...their red meat & raan are world famous

Sharma Dhabha's food is not great. So so I guess.Plus the location guarantees a lot of dust in your grub-absolutely free.
