Jaipur: Very early morning things/people/animals to see?
Arrival by train from Jodhpur is scheduled for 4:50. Am staying at hotel not far from train station where I expect to leave my back pack. Figure I can get out and start exploring by 6:00. Since most "sites" do not open until 9:00 or later, what do you suggest?
I've considered heading into old city and walking around and being at Govind Devji Temple for Dhoop which seems to be from 8:30-9:30. Jantar Manar and Hawa Mahal both open at 9:00 - some poster recently indicated that latter has scaffolding up for restoration, true? At what time does the market place start to wake up? Any suggestion for getting early morning breakfast? (Note: I will have seen many forts and may choose to miss Amber fort as I only have 48 hours in Jaipur, but am happy to be convinced otherwise. LP indicates that the Kali Temple near fort is open at 6:00. What might be the earliest bus to Amber? Could one hang out with the elephants and walk in the hills by 7:00?) Finally while I generally like to explore on my own, RTDC has half-day city tour starting at 8am, any thought on it? Of course just hanging out and people watching could be wonderful, any suggestions of where? Thanks for any advice for the early morning period of time.
