You know I didn't see the menu - my friend and I got there after we'd eaten, I remember this because we were sorry we hadn't known about the cafe as I think we'd ended up eating in some place we didn't like much. I also remember she bought a nice carrot cake for her son who was back in the room watching Hindi TV (one of his preferred travel activities).

Lucky you, Nick - the outdoor one before in Jaipur was fabulous, nicely decorated etc. Also the food is fresh from their village just outside (I think not far from Amber Fort). A lot of the veg.used is from it. Carrot cake, cheesecake as good if not better than any from Oz or NZ.

Okay, thanks!!

I expect to visit all Anokhi and all FabIndia shops in my lifetime so it's good to start developing the food availability maps.

In Jaipur now they are in a nice building which has in it also a nice big bookstore and an Italian (or kind of Italian) restaurant.

Unless you were thinking of the Anokhi at the City Palace, which is upstairs from an outdoor cafe, or else upstairs in the building next to the cafe. Lovely spot. Smaller Anokhi.
