Jaipur - Budget Accom

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a few budget places to stay in Jaipur? I wanted to stay at Pearl Palace, but they are all booked up for the time I will be there.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. 400-900IR price bracket.

Thanks!

Hi, Yes I've already looked at the hotel section, but can't find anything within budget.

It would be great if someone can recommend a place that they stayed at within the 400-700IR tarriff?

Thanks

hi,
You can try out Park View Hotel located in C-Scheme Area of Jaipur. They dont have a website but it's a small decent property located in the heart of the City & is run by owners who stay in the same complex.Their contact number is 0141-2363561.

I stayed in the 'Ganga Kripa' hotel last winter, just 5 minutes walk from the main railway station. Paid 350Rs for a room with bath and TV. No other tourists there - its a little hard to find. Fairly quiet, and friendly staff. I'd go there again.

PS - I moved out of the Pearl Palace - too pricey for what you get, and the food is rubbish. Much better to eat at the station if you are nearbye.

I had the same exact problem. I've booked at the 'Arya Niwas' it seems to be the next best thing.

This thread is about accommodation between 400 - 900 rupees. Why do people suggest places that cost above 2000 rupees? (Meghniwas)
Arya Niwas looks nice, but they charge 1400 rp for two.

Hi Rinku, I just looked at the website, and they are charging 1250 for a room. Are you saying they will reduce it to less than 900?

Sunder Palace

Staying at the Sunder Palace right now (just around the corner from the Pearl Palace). I'm paying Rs550 for a large double room, shower, TV, fan (not air-con).

Decent restaurant on top (although they take forever to serve and it's best to order earlier and give them a time when you'll be back).

Clean and pleasant. I'd recommend it. In fact I might still be here if you visit!

We stayed in both Pearl Palace and Sunder Palace in March 2009. The Sunder Palace was far better, much bigger room and fabulous food. Looking at it from the outside we thought that it was way above our budget but it was much better value. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room we had in Pearl Palace was tiny (difficult to even walk around the bed) and the bathroom had a tiny hand sink in the corner behind the door. Food wasn't very good either.

Hi Gokarna! I just looked at their website:
http://www.sunderpalace.com/

It looks fabulous! Would you mind telling us what you payed for two people? The previous poster said he paid 550, but I'm wondering if the rate would be double that amount for a couple.

The website of Sunder Palace has plenty of info, except no mention of the most important bit, their rates!
