However, it is a LONG way -- about 40-50 minutes or drive -- from the Railway Station. It has proximity to the airport. So if you want something near to the railway station, I'd recommend Niros (it is not Niro but rather Niros ) or there is a new restaurant by the name of Virasat (it has an ethnic touch) and is pretty near to the railway station.

hi
was searching jaipur things to do - and am looking for some help as well - sounds like this choki dhani place does have some fans - am actually going there with parents, would we be bored out of our minds - it sounds a bit far as well - but wichy, did you go with kids or was it all adults and you still liked it?

and about this after dark night lights - i'm totally confused: the guidebooks say that both nahargarh and amer forts are closed after 5pm, so how do we get up there to see the city lights etc.?

It was me and 2 of my adult friends and we really liked it - I think lots of things to do and see both for adults and for children. You can watch dance shows (and even dance with them) or visit some small museums, or have a camel ride, or talk with fortune-teller, or buy some Rajasthany items in small bazaars, or have a good dinner, or just walking around - it's really very nice place to spend an evening.

I can't say about rides - as I didn't use this facilities? but fortune talling, dance shows, small museums and an excellent dinner were included in the entrance fee.

alright then - will be brave (foolish?!) and try this chokhi dani thing and come back with a first hand report... that is if we have time. the days before an india trip are the best - y'know massive day dreams and building (rajput)castles in the air

another question thought - is the galtaji hanuman and then surya temple trip worth it for the view of the city? and is the galta gorge/waterfall site close to there? these seem to be on the way from agra to jaipur, right? thnx

I think the very last thing I would want after a hard day sightseeing in Jaipur is having a wonderful meal ruined by dancing and musicians.

The food at Nero's is excellent, and I would recommend it without hesitation. It does get busy, though, and you might have to wait for a table.
