Hi redukesI have read your post on hot air ballooning in Jaipur and we are thinking of doing the same thing in March. Did you actually do the trip? Your comments would appreciated.

Hey you can try to book with roofnride.com.They seem to fly at Badshah pur for groups of 15. I had used their services at the badshahpur camp in an office offsite.
Hot Air Ballooning - Jaipur
Yes, we took the Sky Waltz hot air balloon ride. It was a long ride to the take off spot. The driver was constantly in contact with the balloon team. Unfortunately the currents were not in the direction of the fort, so we only flew over villages and brick making works. However, it was a good experience and worth the money. The photographs on the other hand were expensive. They provide drinks and tea and biscuits before.
When you land you are surrounded by villagers and children on their way to school. Take some lollies (wrapped sweets) with you and distribute them when you get out. Make sure that even the old people get some - they often miss out on treats.

Peter/Chris, what do you mean the photos were expensive? They don't let you take a camera with you? This would totally kill the trip for me.
I planned on doing the Skywaltz balloon trip in a few weeks, unfortunately Skywaltz never got back to me...

You can certainly take your camera with you. However, in the crowded basket, you are unlikely to get a photograph of yourself or you and your partner together as people are allocated places according to their weight and size. You cant have all the heavy weights on one side. They have a camera out on a limb from the balloon and the pilot takes a number of photographs that they will deliver to you at your hotel within 24 hours or you can pay for them in advance, sight unseen.
Surprised that Skywaltz did not get back in touch. They were very prompt and will contact you at your hotel if you give them the information.
Got the reply about my date enquiry the other day
and then emailed them (rather than using the onlime form) regarding the camera query, they actually got back super quick with that and gave a yes for the camera... guess I'll be booking afterall

You might be ok with your partner, There were 8 of us who did the trip last month, no one told us where we should or should not stand.
Two separators. One for the driver/gas tanks. One separating the back four people from the front four.
Quick tip: Don't wear shades or a hood when having your photo taken

I was looking at booking the same trip but if you can't be together it seems a real shame and would put me off
