Air India special fare for 4 cities

Jaipur: The cash starved national carrier, Air India, has announced special fares during monsoon period from July 18 to September 20. “The special fares have been made available on three metro cities and on one most popular tourist destination,” said Kapoor Chand, Air India official.
The special fare from the Pink City would be available on four cities Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Udaipur.
A source at the Air India says that this initiative has been taken to compete with the low cost airlines and to expand the base of the national carrier.
Air travellers can avail this scheme in three days advance purchase.

How much is the fare now? I took a flight from Delhi to Jaipur in March and it was 1900 INR one-way tax inclusive.

Edit: Just looked up on ixigo.com and its 2200 INR (Del-Jpr-Del) for a return ticket tax inclusive. Return flight however, is at 3-45 am and reaches delhi at 4-25 am. How many would want to board a short-haul flight at that time? Your guess is as good as mine.
