Delhi to Jaipur

Are there any buses leaving from the Delhi airport for Jaipur? Our flight arrives in Delhi at 5:30pm and we want to get to Jaipur that evening. It may not be possible and we may have to spend a nigh in Delhi. However, if anyone knows a way it is possible that we can get to Jaipur in the evening at a semi-reasonable hour, please let me know. Thanks

No there wont be buses from the Airport..

The nearest you can get would be a roadways bus from Dhaula Kuan..but that is not recommended at all...they would be roadways buses ..not very comfortable...and if you have heavy luggage then that would be a problem...

by the way buses leave for Jaipur all round the clock from Delhi..it should not be a problem..check the timings of a Volvo and try and get on one..

The only train option is....

Train 2958 departs from Delhi Cant (except Tuesdays) at 20:25 and gets to Jaipur at 00:40.

This is the Rajdhani, one of India's premier trains, so it should run on time.

All options are lost when the fog hits Delhi (mid December till Feb).

And Anyways if yoiur flight arrives at 5:30 pm..you cannot make it to Jaipur at any reasonable hour...

because you will get free from Immigration and actually out of the airport at around 6:30 PM..and even if the bus stand was ( which it not) right outside the Airport, you would still have to wait for the right time for bus to arrive/leave..

So you will start at 7 PM and that is peak traffic time in Gurgaon, Manesar, till actually Dharuhera..so I don't think you can reach Jaipur before Midnight..even if the bus stand was right outside the airport..which I have stated earlier is not..and to reach that you have to negotiate peak hours of traffic..

The only good option is to book a cab, that will pick you up right outside the airport..it will then take 4 hours from Airport to Jaipur...

Last year we tried to save some time by attempting to catch RSRTC volvo buses from Dhaula Kuan (we came to delhi by air)...... all buses were full by the time they reach Dhaula Kuan.......... after wasting 2 hours at Dhaula Kuan we went to RSRTC depot at India Gate and took volvo bus from there

WARNING: Please go directly to RSRTC deport at India Gate and take bus from there...........this is the fastest ........ you won't save any time trying to catch bus en route
