Best way of travel between Jaipur and Agra

Hello everyone, I will be visiting Jaipur for a convention in December and I am planning to visit Agra as well (reasons oobvious. I would really prefer to fly as I have only few days in India but I guess I could also take a bus or a train if needed. Any info would be very appreciated (it's my first time in India).

Get a car with a driver(insist on an Ambassador). Have him wait at the Taj.

Take the morning intercity train leaving at 6 am. Youll be in Agra by 10 am. Do the full day visit of Taj, Red Fort & Sikri. Evening the intercity returns at 5 PM and youre back in Jaipur by 10 pm. Do not drive to Agra as that takes at least 6-7 hours each way. There is major work going on to expand the highway and driving is a nightmare.

Thanks a lot, guys! I think, I will go with npjai's suggestion. A quick followup - Taj is closed on Fridays, right? Thanks

I check the train time table, its only have 18.50 - 23.30 from Agra to Jaipur.
Which intercity train you mean and how can I book that train please?
Should I book this train now in advance or its ok to just buy the ticket on the day?
