Amritsar to Jaipur
Is it possible to go straight from Amritsar to Jaipur without having to go through Delhi? Can't find out any way of doing this without having to go through Delhi. I don't care whether its by bus or train and don't care how long it will take as long as i can avoid delhi.
Any help would be much appreciated! Ps thanks for the help you have given me previously. I really am enjoying myself in India.  |

From Jaipur to Amritsar there's a train running twice a week I guess it's the same in the opposite direction, check out "Trains at a Glance".

You really didn't like Delhi, did you? juaco is correct. I just checked the Indian Railways site. The Amritsar - Jaipur express, train number 9772, departs from Amritsar junction at 14.20 hrs on Wednesdays and Sundays arriving at Jaipur the following morning at 9.30 hrs. I'm not sure of its route but even if it goes through Delhi you can just wave to people as you pass by. |

The Amritsar Jaipur train does NOT pass through Delhi.
But is Delhi really that bad? There are so many options if you come via Delhi as both Amritsar and Jaipur are exceptionally well connected to Delhi!

when i think of delhi i think of 4 things, dirt, death, decay and robbing bastards. Don't get me started!
