When we visited Amber Fort in March 2008 I seem to remember seeing a small door which pointed to an underground passage which led up to Jaigarh fort. Is there such a thing and, if so, does anyone know the opening times?
We are going back to Jaipur in February 2010 and I would like to use this passage if it exists! Thanks |

I've just been to Jaipur days before.Yes, there is a tunnel leads to Jaigarh fort, but you have to be the King to use that tunnel.

Hi...yes there is a tunnel but only small portion of it has been opened for Public & as per records, part of it was a covered tunnel(which led you upto the foothills) & then it was an open passage upto to the Fort(open passage is still visible from the Fort).

Pleasure indeed!!!You can surely try out a climb up & walk around the protective wall which used to surround the Amber town(some parts of the same have been restored recently & make for an interesting walk).
